Exciting news – a new community led Walk and Talk is launching in Putney Heath from Saturday 6th September 2025.
Here are all the details from the inspiring community group that has made the Wimbledon Common and Village Walk and Talk so popular and want to do the same for Putney Heath. More great news – on 6th September the Green Man are offering free refreshments after the Walk and Talk to celebrate the launch of this fantastic initiative.

Your new fun community walk starts on 6th September.
Join us at the new Putney Heath Walk & Talk to discover more about your Heath, find out some fun facts, come together and chat with fellow walkers from the Putney area. Meet local people, friendly faces and make new connections. All ages, all backgrounds, all abilities.
Our walk will be into Putney Heath, guided by an expert from the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Ranger’s Office.
No need for booking or registration or payment. It is free. Yes! Free. Just turn up, say hello and start walking with us.
At the end of the walk The Green Man is offering free refreshment and biscuits to all walkers to continue chatting.

Walk start time: 10.30am
Walk duration: a gentle stroll lasting approximately 60 minutes
Location start: Green Man, Wildcroft Rd, SW15 3NG. Conveniently opposite Putney Heath bus stop.
