The Walk and Talk Movement’s Terms and Conditions

Welcome to The Walk and Talk Movement

Great to meet you.

We believe in the fantastic and proven benefits of walking and talking.

Our mission is to encourage and inspire communities to set up and run their own weekly ‘Walk and Talks’, where people come together in their local green spaces to become happier and healthier.

Here are some very simple terms of use which you should take note of when you are using this website and going along to a community led Walk and Talk.

Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to The Walk and Talk Movement, our platform, services, communications, content, website, mobile applications, online applications and social media operated by us or on behalf of any third party organisation and any associated applications or services (including but not limited to emails and other forms of communication) collectively known as the ‘site’. This includes any way of accessing, browsing or downloading any part of the site.

Who we are

This site and service is operated by The Walk and Talk Movement CIC (“Us”, “We”, “Our” “The Walk and Talk Movement”). We are a Community Interest Company Limited by Guarantee registered in England and Wales under company number 13857895, with registered office 37 Southdean Gardens, London, England, SW19 6NT.

About Us

The Walk and Talk Movement is a free service designed to encourage and inspire walking and talking.

It is important to emphasise that The Walk and Talk Movement does not run or organise any Walk and Talks itself. Instead it inspires local communities to come together to run their own Walk and Talks and provides these communities with guidance on how to enjoy successful Walk and Talks.

People who join a community led Walk and Talks (‘the participants’) accept they do so entirely at their own risk and it is their responsibility to ensure that they are fit and able to join in. If in doubt, participants should always seek appropriate advice from their GP or other medical experts.

Participants make use of any local services and facilities at their own risk.

Under 18 year olds, children or vulnerable adults are the responsibility of their parents, guardians or carers and need to be accompanied at all times. Pets are the responsibility of their owners, and should be accompanied by, and looked after by, their owners at all times.

The Walk and Talk Movement, and any of its representatives, do not accept responsibility for injury, loss and damage sustained by a participant.

Participants give the The Walk and Talk Movement permission to take photos and use them for their website, social media sites and media activity.

The Walk and Talk Movement is not responsible for any content posted on any third party sites or services, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram or any other services. Participants should read, and be happy with, the terms and conditions, privacy rules, group rules and any other terms of use of any third party sites or services before using them, as The Walk and Talk Movement is not responsible for the operation of or terms of any third party services.
