Yes, The Walk and Talk Movement has officially walked and talked its way into the Palace of Westminster!

….and what a Walk and Talk we had…

We met Kim Leadbeater, the bright, bubbly and inspiring MP and chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Tackling Loneliness & Connected Communities. She is passionate about bringing people together to create happier and healthier communities.

It is fair to say (as the picture shows) she instantly loved The Walk and Talk Movement, our shared mission and of course our green t-shirts. Kim understood the real benefits we can bring to local communities everywhere, for everybody.

We loved her genuine passion, enthusiasm and support. Thank you Kim.

We were at the House of Commons, courtesy of our great friends Intelligent Health ( who were celebrating 10 years of Beat the Street ( programmes up and down the country – which act as an amazing catalyst for boosting local community activity and positive change. Well done Dr William Bird and everybody involved! What a fantastic effort.

…and we also met everybody from senior public health officials, local councils and organisations to Olympic medal winning cyclist Chris Boardman….who are all helping communities become more active together….

Everybody we talked to recognised the damaging impact that isolation, loneliness, mental health problems and inactivity can have on the people around us – and how friendly, fun and welcoming community activities like Walk and Talk can make such a difference to so many people.

Our visit proved to us that it is the right time to change things for the better together…

…the right time for The Walk and Talk Movement to grow….

…the right time to make an even bigger impact for local communities….

Let’s Walk and Talk Together.
