Every year the Wandle Fortnight celebrates the local Wandle Valley Community with a range of lovely events and get togethers.
This year you can enjoy some brilliant Walk and Talk along the Wandle as part of these celebrations.
Winding from Carshalton and Croydon to Wandsworth the historic River Wandle has many claims to fame, having been one of Europe’s busiest waterways.
So come on let’s Walk and Talk along the Wandle together.

Canons Walk and Talk

This is a great opportunity to visit a couple of Wandle Fortnight events with a walk along the Wandle Trail from Mitcham to Carshalton. Enjoy a visit to the Wandle Art Exhibition at Vellum Mill Gallery on the way and Carshalton Water Tower and Gardens in the afternoon.

Meet at the picnic area next to the Stable Yard at 10.30am
A friendly and fun Walk and Talk for the whole community, starting in the National Trust’s beautiful Morden Hall Park. Following the length of the wonderful River Wandle to near Earlsfield, we will also aim to meet up with other local Walk and Talk groups on the way so the wider Wandle community can come together. Come along to what promises to be a really lovely morning. The Walk and Talk will end with a well-earned free cuppa at the new Louis café: louisearlsfield.com/ with a view of the river and the Wandle trail.
Walk and Talks are run by the local community for the community and walkers and talkers are such a welcoming bunch. Everyone is welcome, as are pets.
