Beautiful autumnal colours are currently lighting up our parks and green spaces – making Saturday morning Walk and Talks so enriching. We have repeatedly found that getting people out and about in nature is so rewarding for everybody involved.

Now a BBC News article has summed up just why – and it makes perfect sense. A healthy body of research shows that taking a lovely stroll in a green space can, and does work, wonders.

Studies have shown that simply visiting and enjoying nature can help you relax, lower your blood pressure and reboot your hormones and body’s defences.

Other recent research suggests that one longer walk a day is better for your heart than lots of short strolls – something Walkers and Talkers comfortably achieve together.

But forget the science for a minute. We see first hand every Saturday at 10.30am across Walk and Talk locations that getting out and about together in nature has such a positive physical and mental health impact on so many people.

Which is why local communities keep walking and talking together – and why you should join them.

Here are just some of the amazing colours our local parks are showing off right now…nature everybody can and should enjoy.
